“Involvement will be the key to your success at Westminster School. Get involved with the arts, try a sport you've never played, start your own club, run for student council. You will get out of this experience exactly what you put into it. Do these things early in your life — keep seeking more opportunities for growth.”

Martlets Fall to Berkshire
Westminster and Berkshire delivered an exciting and intense game this Saturday afternoon, with Berkshire ultimately emerging victorious 5-3. The game took place at Berkshire, marking Westminster's final away game of the season. The first period saw Westminster take control, as they managed to build a solid 2-0 lead. Their defense was strong, and their offense capitalized on key opportunities to keep Berkshire at bay. It was a confident start for Westminster, who were looking to close out their final away game with a strong performance. The first Martlet to score was sophomore Bella Zapata. Zapata got the scoring started early when she found herself on a breakaway and buried the puck to give Westminster the lead. The Martlets did a good job of controlling the play and taking care of the neutral zone. About five minutes later, senior captain Remi Morello joined in on the scoring with a strong shot from the point! Morello’s shot found its way through some traffic to extend the lead. However, Berkshire came out determined in the second period. The early second period goal from Berkshire cut the Martlet’s lead in half, but Westminster was quick to respond. Junior defenseman Izzy Hurkala scored a nice goal to extend the lead back to two for the Martlets, just 30 seconds after the Berkshire goal! As the remainder of the period went on, Berkshire would find the net twice more, while Westminster was unable to capitalize on any more opportunities. This made for an exciting third period tied at three! However, in the third, Berkshire’s momentum continued. They capitalized on their chances, scoring two more goals to secure the win, making it 5-3. Westminster fought hard but couldn’t find a way to regain the lead, despite several good attempts on offense. Ultimately, Berkshire's second-period comeback proved to be the turning point, as they maintained the pressure and finished strong. The Martlet’s wrap up their season on Saturday, March 1st at home against Kent.
